Welcome
to the visitor from Goppingen, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
To
the
No
offence intended my friend from the Beautiful Country of Germany, I am just
answering a tweet from the infestation in my ‘Whitehouse' about our past
history in the past war history of flags and statues in the United States of
America.
Sorry
for the delay answering, we have been away the past week.
There
are no flags or statues of our enemy for independents, in our towns, cities,
states of the federal government and
there are no flags or statues of our fighting the Axis powers
from WW-1 or WW-2 in so I want to know what all the fuss is with flags and
statues from our Civil War?
P.S.
The
'White Supremest Rebel losers' of that war have been 'Reenacting that War' many
times every year since with the same results - they lose every time because
they lost that war!
The war effectively
ended on April 9, 1865, when Confederate
General Robert
E. Lee surrendered to Union General Ulysses S. Grant at the Battle of
Appomattox Court House. Confederate generals
throughout the Southern states followed suit, the last surrender on land
occurring June 23. Much of the South's infrastructure was destroyed, especially
its railroads. The Confederacy collapsed, slavery was abolished, and four million black slaves were freed.
