I was always wondering why tribes north of our people
called their leaders Sachem and the rest of the New England Tribes called their
leaders Shechaim.
After traveling the circuit with Tah, my Shawnee/Irish
better half, I now know this!
Sachem in writing sounds like Sac Cum!
Now I still wonder why those northern tribal still call
their leaders Sac-Cum.
